bzero()

Set the first part of an object to null bytes

Synopsis:

#include <strings.h>

void bzero( void *dst,
            size_t n );

Arguments:

dst

An existing object that you want to fill with zeroes.

n

The number of bytes to fill.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The bzero() function fills the first n bytes of the object pointed to by dst with zero (NUL) bytes.

This function is similar to the ANSI memset() function. New code should use the ANSI function.

Examples:

int main( void )
  {
    char buffer[80];

    bzero( buffer, 80 );
    return EXIT_SUCCESS;
  }
